We will rebuild ourselves with food!
We want simple and pure food!
So let's eat renewing foods like these:
Fresh orange rebuilding fruits like mangos,
papaya's, and cantaloupe.
And let's eat fresh regenerating vegetables like these:
Green leafy vegetables like swiss
chard, spinache and mustard
greens.
And then let's eat asparagus and artichokes and broccoli.
We need to rebuild our red blood cells, so let's eat
meat like this:
Steak and chicken and
salmon and liver.
We want to make eating tasty!
So let's pick foods that are really delicious.
We can eat anything we want, so let's choose carefully.
We must think about what we crave, for our bodies speak to us.
Do we need iron, then let's eat a river of liver!
Do we need energy, then lets eat some bread, cereal,
pasta and fruit.
How about some hot oatmeal with dried fruit like raisons,
figs, and apricots!
Are we dehydrated, then let's drink fruit juices and nectars,
sports drinks and water.

We must make eating convenient!
Let's prepare meals ahead of time and put them into ready-to-heat containers.
We'll prepare a Tupperware meal of salmon, rice and
asparagus.
And how about a big fruit salad, chilled and ready-to-eat.
And we must stock the makings for easy to prepare sandwiches.
We'll try peanut butter and jelly,
egg salad and why not tuna.
We need to eat bacteria-free food!
We will wear gloves, then wash, peel and cut our
fruit.
We will also wear gloves to wash our vegetables, and then we will steam them.
We will ask visitors to wash and cut some cantaloupe,
crenshaw, honeydew, and
watermelon for us.
And we will always wash our hands before we eat or touch anything we will eat.
We need to replenish our electrolytes!
So let's eat food's like this:
Banana's and dried figs and
fruit for Potassium.
And then we can drink fluids like these:
Bullion, broth, and
sports drinks like All Sport
and Gaterade.
When we get nauseated, we need special foods.
We must eat foods and sip drinks slowly.
We will eat small amounts of easy to digest foods like these:
Jello, yogurt, custard,
pudding, bullion, broth,
consume, and crackers.
And we can drink fluids like these:
Gingerale, ginger tea, and
ginger candy.
Warm bullion, broth, and
consume.
And sometimes a little Coca Cola will settle our
stomach down.
When we have that
metallic taste in our mouths.
Let's try peppermint
candy or tea.
When our gastrointestional lining is raw, let's eat and drink this:
Roasted or microwaved Cornish Game Hens or
chicken.
And then we will make it into a soup with rice or
noodles, carrots and celery.
And what do you know, we have another prepared meal ready-to-heat.
For a drink, we will have ginger ale, sports
drinks, water and red clover
tea.
Then for dessert we will have a bowl of vanilla Hagan Das ice cream or
mango Sorbet!
Let's discuss food on chemo day.
On chemo day, we must be wary what we eat.
On chemo day morning, we will eat a light meal like this:
An english muffin with jam or
jelly.
We must flush the chemo out of our bodies by drinking fluids like these:
Fruit juices, sports
drinks, and lots of water!
Right afer chemo, we will eat fruit salad and drink more
water.
Then we will eat salmon or chicken,
asparagus or spinach, and
rice or pasta.
Then we can snack on more fruit, while we keep drinking and drinking and flushing!
We need foods in the house that come off the shelf.
These are foods like canned chicken noodle
soup, creamed soups, peaches and
pears.
And foods like applesauce, and pre-made
puddings, tapioca and jello in tiny containers.
We will eat these foods only when there is nothing else to eat in the house.
We will do better with chemo if we eat well!
So let's eat well, feel good and rebuild our bodies!
