Day 23

Treatment Number 8

Written by Alison Bell

Thursday 5th April

I have actually had quite a giggly couple of days.

I'm still feeling very tired and have various complaints - a slight cold and aches and pains from the GCSF injections, but I am feeling better than I have in weeks. I feel like I have more energy, my legs are starting to function better, though I'm still a little pathetic. My Hickman line has been hurting the past couple of days which may be because it has pulled or may be infected. If it is still this way tomorrow I may call up the day unit for advice.

I am still itching and actually have a few little marks on my body which are like tiny eczema patches.  I associated these two side effects with the drug Bleomycin, which has been cut from my regimen.  Odd.

I had my massage today, and we used ginger, bergamot and neroli oil. She massaged my neck and shoulder, legs and feet and then back. I was very tired today, having been to work, and it was sooooo relaxing - joyous. My last session is postponed and will be around may 10th.  I'd love to go every week.

It may be something I will look into having regularly. I tried to visualize as I was so relaxed lying there but I wanted to focus on the nice feeling.

My latest visualization is imagining myself healthy, happy, doing the career I want to do, with a partner and children, a nice home - it makes me smile.

I'm hoping if I add this on to the end of my blood workout or chemo army and search and destroy mission that maybe it'll all come true.
