Treatment Number 7 Written by Alison Bell |

Friday 16th March

Today I spent mostly on my bed feeling pathetic. |
|
I woke as I have every day this week at 5am which seems to be a side effect of hospital's and steroids. I am feeling a lot more nauseous after treatment 7, but think this is the Septrin for my possible pneumonia causing sickness. I was actually sick today for the first time. The taking of the pills is also unpleasant, they are not coated, very large and 6 1/2 three times a day getting stuck in your uvula, combined with heartburn and indigestion making the way down painful. Roll on June when this will all be over! A lovely afternoon treat was an aromatherapy massage at the hospital provided by the Cancer support center. This is the clinical trial I am taking part in to see how complementary therapy assists in the care of cancer patients. I'm hoping it'll become part of treatment schedules in the future. |

She blended three lovely oils Orange, ginger and Sandlewood, and was extremely gentle, there were a couple of areas that needed a good seeing to but I didn't mind. Very relaxing and floaty. I visualized myself totally relaxed and free from all the stresses in my life. |
|
Then I got the bus home ....... which totally wiped out the tranquility and calm and reduced me to an achy stressed out wreck again! Tomorrow I'm off to the country to visit my family hopefully take a walk - foot and mouth willing (there is an epidemic here and the country is shut to visitors!) |
