Day 20

Treatment Number 7 Written by Alison Bell |

Monday 26th March
|
My first day back at work in over a month and I'm feeling pretty good all things considered. |
|
I thought I would be a lot more tired, of course that is only one day and we'll see how I feel tomorrow, but so far so good. I did have difficulties climbing the hill home this evening, I started out quite energetically but found myself struggling halfway, my breathing is still not what it was and I'm certainly out of shape having not really ventured out much in the last five weeks. I am doing okay though. |
|
My treatment number 7 is due this Wednesday so I have been energizing my white blood cells in readiness for Mr Chemo. |
|
On the walk down to the bus this morning and again this evening on my way home I did a blood cell "workout", generating and exercising my bone marrow and blood cells. This evening I plan a nice relaxing visualization session, get myself really relaxed and get rid of some of the day's tension and then generate my white count and make sure nothing delays my treatment. |
|
We are on the homeward straight and I don't want to postpone any more. |
|
I also want to clear out all the stresses and
strains - try and figure out why
certain things are getting to me and try and figure out how to resolve my
personal problems. This could be quite a long
session - I'd better go get started!
Maybe I'm being a little ambitious to try and accomplish all of this
in one evening but I can make a start at
least.
I do feel optimistic that the infection or whatever it was seems to be abating slightly - I do feel a little less weary and although I'm still not breathing well and have a few signs of cold-like symptoms, I do feel I'm getting better. |
